FTA's Transport Manager has been running for over 16 years at venues across the UK.
These popular conferences welcome over 1,200 delegates every year with many returning year on year to keep up-to-speed with the very latest news and developments. Over the years Transport Managers have attracted a wide range of high profile speakers from Traffic Commissioners and VOSA enforcers to industry solicitors and vehicle manufacturers.
“I’ve been attending these events for the past 15 years and find them very helpful. The amount of information we get is invaluable, especially listening to people like Nick Jones the Traffic Commissioner. I also find it very good for networking because there are customers and other people I know within the transport industry that attend these events as well.” David Watkins, CEM Day on Transport Manager Chepstow 2016
The Transport Manager Conferences are run by the Freight Transport Association (FTA), one of the UK's largest trade associations representing the transport interests of companies moving goods by road, rail, sea and air.
FTA has been supporting the interests of the transport industry since 1889. FTA specialises in delivering safe, sustainable and efficient logistics. We do this in the following ways:
Representation - we represent the needs of the logistics industry at local, national and European level.
Campaigning - FTA’s campaigns raise awareness of the logistics industry.
Compliance - we inform and prepare our members about the latest compliance requirements.
Training - our training schemes improve the skills and knowledge of drivers and managers in the industry.
FTA members operate more than 200,000 lorries - almost half the UK fleet. In addition, our members deliver over 90 per cent of freight moved by rail; and 70 per cent of UK visible exports by sea and air.
