Going from strength to strength at Transport Manager 2016

Great week for Transport Manager 2016. Four successful events under our belt with six left to go. We hit the road to Peterborough last week – our brilliant FTA team working long in to the night Wednesday and starting bright and early to welcome delegates from 8am Thursday. A huge thanks to Traffic Commissioner Richard Turfitt who shared with delegates the focus for next year and how Transport Managers can ensure they stay off radar and deal with the Traffic Commissioner for only the right reasons.
We’ve also been fortunate enough to visit the Kia Oval for event number three in the series. Our headline sponsor Iveco has been giving one lucky winner a chance to win a trip to Maranello – and with the sun soaked cricket ground in the background delegates were certainly in the mood for the competition! My concern was whether we might lose delegates to the view outside though rather than listening to our expert speakers in.
Some of our series highlights so far:
- Hearing our member’s thoughts directly on the future of EU legislation and the impact on our industry
- The understanding and interaction from delegates around the changes to Traffic Commissioner areas
- Practical advice from FTA’s Andy Mair as he’s been exploring the top 5 incidents on the highway caused by HGVs
Finally, and perhaps the cherry on the cake, is reaching 1000 delegates booked across the series. We’ve still got places left though so whether you’re in the North, South or the Midlands it’s not too late to reserve your space.
In its 15 year history Transport Manager’s highest attendance has been 1202 delegates so with six events still to go the only question in my mind now is, could this be our most popular Transport Manager ever?
